Who We Are

At Dancewell Studios, we are all passionate about dancing and about helping other dancers to be the best they can be. Our current team at Dancewell Studios is:

Marcus Ashwell - Principal and founder of Dancewell Studios

Marcus is our fully qualified principal, who is not only an ex-Australian Dancesport Champion, but he currently competes in Professional grade competitions.

Marcus holds three Licentiate degrees in Standard, Latin American and New Vogue, and has been involved in dancing for more then 20 years.

Dancewell Assistants:

Tina Fagan

Tina is currently working towards her first dancing diploma, and has achieved high grades in all medal examinations completed to date.

Tina has been dancing with Dancewell Studios for over five years, and has been helping Marcus teach for three of those, and helps out at all of the studios when she can. You can see what else Tina gets up to at the Starlight Farms website.

Danielle Wall

Teaches at: Hamilton

Danielle is currently working towards her first dancing diploma, and has achieved high grades in all medal examinations completed to date.

Danielle started dancing with Dancewell in 2007, and started teaching in Hamilton alongside Marcus in 2009. Danielle is also the person who is developing this website.

Kiri Moore

Teaches at: Thames

Kiri is currently working towards his first dancing diploma, and has achieved high grades in all medal examinations completed to date.

Kiri has been dancing with Dancewell Studios since its early days in Whitianga, and now she is a regular with the Thames group. Kiri started teaching with Dancewell in 2010 and is a great addition to the team.

Student Assistants:

megan Megan Booker

Megan was one of the first students to start with Dancewell Studios when it first arrived in Te Kauwhata. She followed the class when it moved to Huntly, and then when it moved to Hamilton.

While being a student with the studio, Megan has assisted all of our teachers and is a welcoming face in every class she is a part of.

alex Alex Gudsell

Alex is the newest student assistant in Dancewell Studios. Since starting in our Hamilton class, Alex has encouraged and supported our kids class, and helps them with steps and routines.

Alex is one of the most popular faces in our Hamilton studio, and we look forward to his active participation in classes and competitions.
